The discusser appreciates the exhaustive studies undertaken by the authors for conceptualizing a rather difficult problem of the development of speed volume relationships and estimating the passenger car unit (PCU) for different types of vehicles under mixed traffic conditions. The discusser, however, has certain reservations on the assumptions, methodology, and findings, which are enumerated below.
