Few travel experiences offer more enjoyment than a proper meal in a railway dining car. Superbly prepared food and drink, served in a forest of china, crystal, linen, and silver, all while the countryside flashes by at sixty or seventy miles per hour. Such experiences have become distressingly infrequent, thanks to the proliferation of highway and air travel.
