Organic nanostructures, as is now known, are an integral part of ecology and life. Yet, understanding them at a molecular level and creating them by assembling various components remain a challenge in the 21st century. There have been significant efforts in recent years to design various organic nanostructures and tailor their properties for use in various molecular devices. This book is timely because it draws contributions from experts in molecular assemblies, solid-state materials, crystal engineering, and inorganic-organic hybrid materials. The chapters are thematically organized to illustraternsmall-scale molecular concepts leading to "synthesize-up" nanostructures and nanoassemblies. The contributions of various experts provide a perspective of recent developments in the area of organic nanostructures and encourage cross-fertilization into other disciplines.
