Research on the network operations of the CERNet backbone

摘要

CERNet is the first nation-wide computer network which is promised to con- nect all the universities, institutes, primary and high schools, and other education and re- search entities in China. This paper outlines the project objective and three-layer hierarchy on national backbone, regional infrastructures and campus networks. Some valuable mea- surements are presented in the paper to discover some interesting stories inside CERNet.
