Guidelines for the preparation of papers and technical notes

1. General: Papers and technical notes must be original contributions, preferably in English. Papers should not exceed 6 000 words, excluding tables and illustrations (2 000 words for technical notes), and should be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 200 words. 2. Submission: Three hard copies and an electronic copy of the manuscript should be sent to the Executive Director of SAICE, at Private Bag X200, Halfway House, 1685. A profile of each of the authors, not exceeding 100 words, must be submitted together with the paper. The final, corrected version of the paper should be accompanied by recent head and shoulders photographs of the authors. Hard copies should be printed on one side of A4 paper, in double line spacing, single column layout with 25 mm wide margins. All pages should bear the authors' names and be numbered at the bottom of the page. With the exception of tables and figures (see below) the document should be typed in a 12 pt, Times New Roman font.
