Michael Bottomley (1944-2009)

Michael Bottomley died on 7 April 2009 after a very short period of illness. He was a man who inspired both respect and affection in those fortunate enough to have worked with him.rnBorn in Manchester, Michael graduated in History from the University of Wales at Bangor, where he also obtained his archive diploma. After graduation, he moved to Trinidad with his wife Polly, who he had met as an undergraduate, and lived and taught there for some years.
