Archives alive: expanding engagement with public library archives and special collections

The author is a professionally trained museum curator with three decades of outreach experience, including roles at the Library of Congress and New York Public Library. In this book, she provides a 'scan of the landscape' to draw together examples of innovative outreach activities in American public libraries and special collections during 2014. Informed by interviews with professional staff, the volume examines 117 projects undertaken across 62 institutions, and aims to be a practical and inspirational sourcebook for use by 'creative archivists'and other stakeholders when planning their own projects.
