摘要

Improved techniques for BER (Bit-Error-Rate) reduction at receivers are much needed in digital communications, in order to make it possible to transmit bit streams effectively at lower SNRs (Signal-to-Noise-Ratio) and for other advantages. This paper proposes and evaluates a new scheme for BER reduction applicable to a large class of correlated digital signals. Substantial improvements over classical method are realized and demonstrated. Its impact on telecommunications performance measures is analyzed.
