Walter T. Federer, 1915-2008

Walt Federer, a pioneer in statistics, especially in statistical design, died in April 2008 at the age of 92 years. He was a champion of statistics, active in theory and applications, travelling all over the world to teach, consult and deliver statistics to all who could use it.rnWalt was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, received his Bachelor of Science degree in agronomy from Colorado State University in 1939 and his Master's degree in plant breeding in 1941 from Kansas State University.
