摘要

The journal continues to attract papers from a wide range of application areas, in which specific problems lead to interesting statistical challenges and creative solutions to these challenges. Over the last few years, the journal has usually received 230-250 submissions annually, and numbers of submissions for 2012 so far are in line with this. Approximately 40 papers are published each year, giving an overall acceptance rate of about 1 in 6. Table 1 shows the distribution of the time between receipt of a paper by a Joint Editor and dispatch of a decision to the authors for submissions received in 2010 and 2011.
