Iranian Textiles

This beautiful volume, about the Qajar textiles of Iran, represents the fruition of one of the many pieces of research still being pursued by Dr Patricia L Baker at the time of her death in 2008. The original project was a collaboration between Dr Baker and the then Curator at the Victoria and Albert Museum, Jennifer Wearden who, after Dr Baker's death, undertook to complete the cataloguing and produce the work. The book surveys, assesses and illustrates the essentials of the largest collection of Qajar textiles (more than 900 pieces, including carpets which fall outside the scope of this work) outside Iran and which is now contained in the holdings of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
