The Leicester to Swannington Update 2010: Compendium of recent research, recording and illustration of this historic railway system

Independent for 16 years, the Leicester & Swannington Railway proved a sound investment for its promoters, paying up to 8% dividends and doubling their capital when it became a part of the Midland Railway in 1846. Parts of it are still in use. The compendium contains all the information the Society has obtained about the railway, including the text of Clinker's 1954 monograph, and photographic surveys of the route.
