Putting Social Responsibility Into Practice

The three Ps of performance are essential for moving social responsibility from a talking point and platitude to a daily practice in our organizations. The first P is for purpose. Dr. W. Edwards Deming put constancy of purpose first in his list of 14 points. People who work in any organization espousing the value of social responsibility need to know why an aspect of social responsibility (environment, labor conditions, etc.) is worthy of the organization's attention.
