Syntheses of Stable N-tert-Alkoxyarylaminyl Mono- and Diradicals by the Reaction of the Lithium Salts of 2,4,6-Trisubstituted Anilines with tert-Alkyl Mono- and Diperoxybenzoates

The reaction of the lithium salts of 2,4,6-triaryl- and 2-tert-butyl-4,6-diarylanilines with tert-alkyl mono- and diperoxy-benzoates gave isolable N-tert-alkoxyarylaminyl mono- and diradicals. The substituent effects of tert-alkyl peroxyben-zoates on the yields of N-tert-alkylarylaminyls were studied.
