Microbiological Corrosion and Protection of Optical Glasses

摘要

The paper is collecting information about microbiological corrosion and protection of optical glasses. For stable and reliable protection of optical surfaces, special coatings containing mercury compounds and not affecting optical properties of the glass are applied. The goal of investigations in the field of microbiological corrosion of optical systems is searching for suitable fungicides for the most economic application in optical devices and effective and long-lasting protection of multilayer optical areas against biological bloom formation.
