This is an important and provocative book by Sean McFate, former US Army Officer, faculty member at Georgetown's School of Foreign Service and The National Defense University, and a Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council. A major impetus for the book is exploring reasons why, despite having the largest, best funded, and superbly trained military in the world, the US keeps losing the wars it fights, especially if by "losing" one means "failed to achieve the stated strategic goals of the use of military force."
