Effects of procainamide on morphological parameter of dense granule and αgranule in blood platelet

Objective: To study the protective effect of procainamide (PA) on the ultrastructure of blood platelets, Methods: The stereology measurement was used to study the effects of PA on morphologial parameters of dense Granule and αgranule. Results; 8.5, 34.0 and 136.0 and 136.0 μmol.L~-1 PA ascended morhological parameter values of Dense granule and αgranule significantly. The increasing percentages were 153.6/100～256.2/100 (SS), 81.6/100～ 188.9/100 (Sv) and 96.3/100～6145.4.100 (St) for surface parameter values; 144.0/100～488.7/100 (Vv) and 221.3/100～1 593.4/100 (Vt) for volume parameter values in dense granule.
