Tolerance induction by allogeneic spleen cell transfusion form dexam- ethasone treated rats in combination with FTY 720

Our previous study has demonstrated that donor specific graft tolerance can be induced by donor spleen cells form dexamethasone (DEX) treated rats (DEX) treated rats (DEX-SPC). In this study we investigated if FTY 720, a new im- munosuppressant, could have a synergistic effect with DEX-SPC on the tolerance inductivity. The results showed that graft survival was further prologed in recipients receiving both preoperative higher dose (10 mg/kg daily) FTY 720 and DEX-SPC.
