摘要

The growth of precipitates with planar, cylindrical or spherical geometry from supercooled, and for first time from multicomponent supersaturated solutions are studied. The theory developed makes the problem of precipitate growth explicit by connecting the growth rate with the temperature, composition and the curvature at the precipitate's interface. For the important case of growth near the equilibrium composition and temperature, the theory predicts the frequently observed experimentally growth laws; linear, parabolic and cubic. The general theory is illustrated on the case of growth of precipitate with spherical symmetry from ternary Al-Si-Zn supersaturated solution.
