Studies on progressive reaction leading formations of different types of barium ferrites

摘要

The present investigation is concerned with the reaction of barium and iron nitrates mixtures using three different molar ratios, 1:1(I), 1:2(III)at different temperature as pointed our from the DTA data. The reaction products exhibit 12 compounds namely, Ba(NO_3)_2,α- Fe_2O_3, Fe_3O_4, BaFeO_3, BaFeO_2.9, hexagonal BaFeO_3-x,tetragonal BaFeO_3-x', BaFe_2O_4,α'- BaFe_2O_4, Ba_2Fe_6O_11, Ba_5Fe_14O_26 and BaFe_12O_19.
