Simulation Study of the Heating Process in Contact Resistance Welding of Crossed Steel Bars

摘要

In the paper, some results from thermal process simulation of reinforced steel bars welded by contact resistance are presented. Investigation was carried out in PSpice programme environment using electrical analogy of heat transfer. The volume material around contact spot area was divided into sufficient number of sub-volumes and the response of the created model in transient mode was obtained when an input power of sinusoidal current source was applied. Results and diagrams for the thermal flow and the energy accumulation for all the specified volumes are discussed.
