摘要

The paper presents a theoretical study about finite element simulation of the projection welding process of the bars steel, with direct applications to manufacture of meshed wires. A 2D simulation model of the projection welding process of the bars steel using COMSOL software was developed. It takes into account almost all real factors that occur during the welding, namely: how action the force and electric current, welding time and the adjacent, variable force, contact resistance as a function of factors that directly depend, forced cooling of the contact electrodes and free assembly cooling. A wide range of results can be determined analytically related to the evolution of stress (mechanical or mechanical with thermal), the evolution of resistive losses, the current density, temperature evolution and the formation of the nugget, efforts and stress due to expansion and contraction during welding.
