The impact of spirituality on the formation of a leader’s purpose

摘要

This article reports a study of how 10 highly influential Christian leaders formed their higher purpose. Using the phenomenological approach and of Moustakas and grounded theory procedures, the study results suggest that when these leaders experienced cognitive dissonance because of their spiritual formation and conditions they perceived in the environment, they formed a higher purpose aimed at reducing the dissonance.
