Magnetic measurements and neutron powder diffraction investigation of the magnetic structure of the La_3NiGe_2-type Ho_3NiGe_2 compound are presented. It is found that below T_c=43 K Ho_3NiGe_2 exhibits a commensurate ac-plane mixed antiferromagnetic-ferromagnetic ordering with Pn'ma magnetic space group. At 1.5 K the holmium magnetic moment reaches the value of 9.1(2)_(μ_B).
