UITP has been organising worldwide training programmes on various public transport topics since 2002. In many countries, companies find training and development opportunities expensive and argue that attending training sessions makes employees miss out on work time, which may delay the completion of projects. However, training and development provide both companies and individual employees benefits that make the cost and time worthwhile, especially in the public transport sector.
