摘要

Corrosion potential and corrosion rate of a low-alloy steel covered with a thin solution layer have been exa- mined mainly in air using the Kelvin probe apparatus and a pressure sensor. Corrosion potential, E_corr (V vs SHE), and corrosion rate, i_corr(A.m~-2), increase with decreasing thickness of the solution layer, h, in the thickness range between 200 x 10~-6 m and 10 x 10~-6m, as follows: E_corr=-0.3.log h - 1.7, I_corr=1.1 x 1-~5/h.
