The Commission's overall plan in promoting the use of internet technology throughout the EU for any possible sector is undoubtedly an ambitious plan that can generate more competition and enhance economic conditions. Within this context however, competition policy in relation to online distribution also necessitates an "update" so as to better reflect both the consumers' and the distributors' abilities.
