Today technology is an orphan once again, an absence difficult to cover in the current situation in which the recognition of the author's work is uniquely directed by trends and conveniences. But it is this uniqueness that leads us to recognize in these lines the enormous capabilities and contributions that will only be able to be appreciated turning to the past. There is no greater agility in thought, incessant activity, always impulsive open creativity, that exploration of the impossible, fragility of the architecture in which the principles of mass, volume and static seemed invulnerable, and they were removed from the person to whom we pay tribute today. Felix Escrig Pallares, Doctor of Architecture, Professor of Structures in the School of Architecture of Seville, considered by some an engineer, taught us to rely on lightweight architecture, large span, low cost, and easy to assemble. Just the pencil betrayed him: the ease in the stroke, either to solve a structural joint detail or to draw the graceful female silhouette for his literary texts, shows the architect he was.
