The Association has been established in 1990 with its headquarters at New Delhi, India. The objectives of the Association are; 1. To take special note of the aspirations, problems of the developing countries in the field of power. 2. To provide an information service to all concerned with power development; 3. To provide a suitable forum to the specialists in the various disciplines for interaction; 4. To encourage the development of techniques for multidisciplinary planning of generation, transmission and distribution of electricity.
