A Survey: Supporting Mobile Devices in a Ubiquitous Environment

摘要

The need for device mobility is ever increasing as device users demand intelligent interactions with services without the need to be directly connected to a terminal point. In addition, there has been a substantial increase in the creation of wireless services. However, this brings new challenges and problems such as resource management (including energy consumption), interoperability concerns and privacy issues. This article presents the latest developments in the wireless arena; in particular the support for mobile devices in a ubiquitous environment.
