In 2014, Frost & Sullivan valued the market for Smart City technology at $1.5 trillion. Despite all the interest and excitement, implementation to date has been slow. Whilst there are plenty of Smart City initiatives taking place, widespread adoption and commercial success is limited. Part of the problem is the lack of compelling quantifiable commercial benefits, opaque business cases and fragmented collaboration between vendors and customers.
