Dr. Bipin Chadha is a Data Scientist at United Services Automobile Association (USAA). USAA is a Texas-based Fortune 500 diversified financial services group of companies. This group includes Texas Department of Insurance regulated reciprocal inter-insurance exchange and subsidiaries offering banking, investing, and insurance to people and families that serve, or have served, in the United States military. Dr. Chadha has significant experience in applying business concepts, analytics, data, and technology to solve strategic and operational problems. At USAA he is responsible for applying advanced analytics, machine learning, and operations research techniques to solve business problems. He has developed several decision support models that are being used for making strategic decisions, making and automating operational decisions, analyzing operational risks, optimizing portfolios, and understanding customer behaviors. Prior to USAA, he was Vice President (Solutions Development) for NuTech Solutions, where he developed numerous decision-support and war-gaming models using system dynamics, agent based modeling, swarm algorithms, advanced analytics, and optimization techniques. These models were used by fortune 500 and Department of Defense (DoD) clients to make strategic decisions in the face of uncertain market, geopolitical, and regulatory environments. Prior to NuTech, he held Principal Architect positions at PTC, Coensys, and Lockheed Martin where he was involved in designing large-scale complex systems. Dr. Chadha received his doctorate in mechanical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
