Anti-radiation Missile (ARM) can not distinguish two coherent radars from far distance because of the limited size of passive radar seeker (PRS). Using extended-array signal processing method to confront coherent radars is proposed in this paper. A 2-dimentional direction of arrival (DOA) estimation algorithm is presented which uses the characteristic of a new special array to construct a special covariance matrix, and the DOA of coherent radar and bait can be estimated without spatial smoothing techniques and spectrum peak searching. DOA angles can also be paired automatically. Simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of ARM PRS distinguishing radar and bait from the directions of arrival and the greater significant performance gained by this method for ARM PRS confronting coherent decoys compared with spatial smoothing MUSIC and Minimum-Num algorithms.
