The importance of disseminating scientific research activities and their outcomes needs little introduction. Among the numerous channels available for research dissemination, the peer-review system in scientific journals has been and continues to be the most popular. This system has generally been working well, with appropriate measures taken regularly to maintain its relevance and improve its performance. An important aspect of the peer-review system is the anonymity of reviewers.
