Massimo Greco was born in 1949 in Naples, Italy. He obtained his degree in civil engineering cum laude in 1973. In 1976 Greco was appointed Assistant Professor of Hydraulics. From 1984 he was an Associate Professor of Hydraulics at the Department of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering, University Federico II, Naples and full professor from 2000, where he currently is the Dean of the Environmental Engineering Program.
