23rd Symposium of the IAHR Section on Hydraulic Machinery and Systems

The 23rd Symposium of the IAHR Section on Hydraulic Machinery and Systems was held at Hotel Mielparque, Yokohama, Japan, from October 17 to 21, 2006. The symposium began with an opening ceremony, in which the welcome address was made by the host, Prof. Junichi Kurokawa, Chairman of the Symposium Organizing Committee, followed by the IAHR Sec. 2 Chairman, Prof. Francois Avellan, EPFL, Lausanne. The congratulatory address was made by the Vice President of IAHR, Prof. Nobuyuki Tamai, Kanazawa University, Japan.
