摘要

Children of families in subsidized housing were less likely to be underweight than kids in low-moderate-income (LMI) families that did not receive a housing subsidy. Housing subsidies protect children from malnutrition—and improve their long-term health, behavioral and development consequences according to a recent article, "Subsidized Housing and Children's Nutritional Status: Data From a Multisite Surveillance Study," which appeared in the June 2005 issue of the American Medical Association's Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine.
