摘要

Thousands of families that lived in Boston public housing in the mid-1990s took part in Moving to Opportunity, a HUD housing voucher program experiment that was designed to test whether families that moved to ess impoverished places would experience greater happiness. A study recently published in Science magazine showed that, though the $80 million dollar experiment did not lift people out of poverty, the move itself was found to increase happiness among participants.
