Collaboration with the hospital librarian was successful in engaging nurses in evidence-based practice (EBP) education. The experiential learning model guided the course objectives and activities. A single clinical question was used by the class where each topic was introduced along with the resources needed to accomplish each task. Sufficient time was provided for the small groups to complete the assigned task. Once the activity was completed, groups presented findings in an oral presentation. As nurses in a hospital setting may represent three or four different generations, the experiential model was useful in addressing a wide variety of learning needs.
