One of the key goals of libraries today is to remain relevant in the lives of their clientele, and a powerful tool for doing so is collaboration. But the cooperative process isn't always easy. Librarians must learn to build strong relationships between colleagues, other libraries, outside agencies, and the community in general so that goals can be achieved—goals which make a tangible difference in the lives of patrons.
