Oakalby heads honours list at National British Friesian Show

Taking centre stage this year was Brian Miller of the renowned Moorshard herd. His his first task of the day was to cast his eye over six in the Calf class. The first win went to E S Burroughs & Son with Oakalby Joseph Debbie 54. The Judge said he was very impressed with his first-placed calf and admired her tremendous overall balance and style and liked the way she walked on a sound set of legs and feet. He felt Debbie was more developed than her second-placed herd-mate Oakalby Dodger Misty 23 who, in turn, possessed more dairy quality and was cleaner throughout than third place Gemini Quaich Rosie Red 2, who Mr Miller admired for her power and width.
