PHMSA HM-257 NPRM Proposes Alternative Approval Process for Division 1.4G Consumer Fireworks

PHMSA proposes to establish DOT-approved fireworks certification agencies that will provide an alternative to the current approval process for Division 1.4G consumer fireworks. In addition, the agency proposes revisions to procedural regulations in 49 CFR 107 pertaining to certification agencies that would clarify the fireworks approval process and provide regulatory flexibility.
