Foreword: Special issue celebrating the 70th birthday of Roman G. Strongin

摘要

This issue of the Journal of Global Optimization consists of a collection of research papers dedicated to Professor Roman G. Strongin on the occasion of his 70th birthday. All papers rnin this volume are in one way or another related to the work of Roman. They cover a wide range of recent results in global optimization and belong to three areas Roman has worked in: namely, theory, algorithms and applications. Our special thanks are extended to all authors as well as to the anonymous reviewers.
