摘要

The authors regret that an incorrect value was used for the liver fractional organ mass. Instead of the stated value of 0.6%, a value of 2.7% should have been used as reported by Crile and Quiring (1940) leading to the underestimation of a number of derived values pertaining to ~(210)Po, ~(210)Pb, ~(238)Pu and ~(239,240)Pu. Using a value of 2.7%, the derived effective half-life and biological half-life for ~(210)Po is 61 and 108 days, respectively (using an assumed assimilation efficiency of 0.1), while the total dose-rate for an adult ringed seal is approximately 0.21 μGy h~(-1) (equivalent to circa 1.8 mGy a~(-1)). Individual corrected affected values are given in Tables 2-4.
