The continuous degradation of the environment and especially that of the ground and air, by polluting agents derived from the industry of ferrous metals is not a problem of major interest for the areas exposed to such phenomena.The pollution of the environment of the area of Zlatna is more than well known, it is a fact deeply studied in all the components of the ecosystem. At the base of the release and maintenance of the effects of pollution are the industrial emissions of S.C. Ampelum S.A. Zlatna, which are acid or are concentrated, often above the allowed limits, oxides of the sulphur and the combinations of heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Cu and Zn). The loading of the ground of the agricultural land with heavy metals continues to favour the contamination of the agricultural products with metal cations and implicitly the exposure of the population of the area to the negative effects of these pollutants. In general, all the population that lives in an industrial area is affected by the phenomenon of pollution, but the category most put in danger is the children. In this study, we considered the data obtained in the area of Zlatna, district of Alba, on a sample of 302 children (age between 2-12 years) compared to the variables X-age and Y-lead percentage. We continued the determination of a statistical connection (correlation) between the lead percentage in blood, Y, and the age of a child, X, by supposing the estimate of the function of regression, f, of the model of regression.
