摘要

Subcritical carbon dioxide fluid extraction is studied as a rapid method for the extraction of chamomile bio-organic essential oils. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the most extensively used solvent since it is physiologically harmless and environmentally friendly. It can be as well easily removed from products. IR spectra of essential oils obtained by liquid carbon dioxide extraction exhibited similar features and showed the presence of a matricine, alpha-bisabolol, dicycloether and farensene compounds. Chemical composition and physical parameters of essential oil of Albanian chamomile are comparable to the essential oils of German and Roman chamomile.
