Audio Coding, HD Theaters Grab Attention at A&V Festa '06

Compression technologies and high-definition (HD) theater systems were the center of attention at the A&V Festa 2006 trade show. The event, sponsored by the Japan Audio Society, took place at Pacifico Yokohama in Yokohama, Japan, from September 21 to 24. The theme of the show was "You hear the tomorrow of the audio and see the future of the visual." Among audio products, speakers were prominent along with products using the latest compression technologies. Among video products, interest focused on HD theater systems using flat-screen TVs and projectors.
