Thanks to SD Cards, Panasonic Sees Wider Use of Camcorders

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (Panasonic) is basing its camcorder lineup primarily on Secure Digital (SD) memory card technology because of advantages SD cards offer in terms of durability and compactness. Camcorders based on SD cards have also broadened the use of camcorders beyond its conventional role in recording activities and progress of growing children.
