Panasonic's Hybrid Camcorder Records on DVDs, SDs, SDHCs

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (Panasonic) has recently brought out three three-CCD full high-definition (full-HD) camcorders. One, the HDC-SX5 is one of the first camcorders to record onto DVD discs, Secure Digital (SD) Memory cards, and SD High Capacity (SDHC) Memory cards.rnEach of the three can record detailed moving images with 1920- × 1080-pixel definition.rnThe HDC-SD7 and the HDC-SD5 record onto SD and SDHC cards.rnThe HDC-SD5 and the HDC-SX5 became available starting in September in North America and Europe. The HDC-SD7 became available from September only in Japan.
