It Doesn't Just Happen to Cookies and Soft Drinks: ChemIDplus Goes Lite or Powerful

This column features an overview of the 'lite" and advanced versions of the National Library of Medicine's (NLM) Specialized Information Services (SIS) Division's file, ChemIDplus. These databases are available on the TOXNET system < http://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov > as part of a "family" of databases that concentrates on providing links to information about hazardous or toxic chemical substances. ChemIDplus serves as a type of "dictionary" file for chemical substances covered by the various NLM databases and databanks. Content of the files will be presented, as well as searching basics.
